Your individual car spins, and the machine spins as a whole, which creates this really cool effect. There are 4 separate centrifuges that each have 10 cars that hold 4 riders at a time.
To help prevent motion sickness, there are actually fans that blow at the riders, too. They have really put a lot of thought and planning into this one. Motion sickness bags were also added to the attraction just in case you need them! With the impressive design of the attraction is actually allows each rider to experience forces that go up to 2.
Since then, more disclosures and warnings were added to the attraction. There have actually been several guests who have experienced issues on the attraction that have resulted in medical assistance provided after riding. The symptoms after have mostly been chest pain, nausea, etc. This is definitely a ride that you want to use caution on if you have any conditions. Guests should not ride if they are uncomfortable with dark, close spaces or simulators.
Guests must be 40 inches tall to experience the less intense Green Mission; and guests must be 44 inches tall to experience the more intense Orange Mission. Let us know in the comments. I searched and saw more threads than I could probably count in a year, and I just don' thave the time, and you know, I throw my five bucks on this site, so how's about this I just dont want to take the time to be frank. I just don't have it.
Disneydewald Member. Calm down, guys. Let's not start a fight. This is suposed to be a happy place! Instead of fighting maybe you could direct him to another post that has the info. But it's nothing to get worked up about You could also check out disney-central on IRC. If you don't mind seeing the ride before you ride it, you can download a ride video and see if it's something you'd want to do.
I personaly loved Mission: Space Patricks Day, by the way! Originally posted by Disneydewald Calm down, guys. Guys, we're here to help each other out, not flame everyone.
Disneydewald has the right idea. There are better ways of telling him to "go search. Espically after the question has already been answered here on the same thread. You think I act childish, and yet you bring up a "go search" just to be mean. There's no sense in it. Husband and sister in law felt sick for about a hour and a half after.
I have never had issues with motion sickness before and my sister in law had even taken a Dramamine before hand, just in case. No other problems occurred with us. I'm happy to say I won't be riding that ride again if I ever return to DW. I have a lot more respect for pilots now With over 20 years experience in the industry we know what it takes to make your day special.
Have been going for years to Disney and went on this ride this past year for the 1st time, very sick right after it was over a threw up later that night, if you have any problems at all with motion sickness stay away from this ride. This is one of my favorite rides of all time! The sensation of feeling like your being blasted into space and that feeling of breaking the earths atmosphere, is exactly why I love this ride! I Always do the Orange team!
Rock On! I liked the green version, what I can't understand is how it made me feel weightless, when we were floating in space, if it doesn't spin? I am 57 years old. I followed the instructions and put my head back and stared straight ahead. I could feel the g force but could not even tell I was spinning. It had no effect on me what so ever. It was an awesome ride. In the spirit of full disclosure, I was taking dramamine the entire week we were at Disney. I did not want motion sickness to get in the way of my fun.
Loved this ride and so did my 13 year old daughter! I am a 74 yr old male in generally good health. I went Green the first time with my wife a few weeks ago.
It was fun but not exciting. Went Orange last week. It was intense. My cabin mates and I all did high 5s when we landed. Great simulation. Great ride. I'll do this one again. This ride is Trash and it has been for years.
