Prospective students should talk to teachers, coaches or employers who know them well. My frost challenge with Clarkson was them only taking 12 out of my 60 credits towards my biology major. I knew not everything would transfer but 12 really? But I decided to stick it out to see how I would like studying here. These people and the fact that I would spend 4 additional years as an undergrad made me change my major to Political science.
From there the professors and the material were relatively interesting. The material was not conceptually challenging by any means, but the volume of work outside of readings , was questionable.
In fact I am sitting here now, doing an assignment that does not add or subtract to my education. The stressful environment here does not come from the professors or the material, it comes from the isolationism, sexist, and dog eat dog mentality. No wonder this place is depressed.
